Jeanne W. Ross, Director and Principal Research Scientist, MIT CISR

Jeanne W. Ross conducts academic research that targets the challenges of senior level executives at CISR's nearly 100 global sponsor companies. She studies how firms develop competitive advantage through the implementation and reuse of digitized platforms. Her work has appeared in major practitioner and academic journals, including MIT Sloan Management Review, Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, MISQ Executive, MIS Quarterly, the Journal of Management Information Systems, IBM Systems Journal, and CIO Magazine.

James Whalen, SVP and Chief Information & Technology Officer, Boston Properties

James Whalen serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information & Technology Officer for Boston Properties where he is responsible for the direction and implementation of technology and the oversight of innovation initiatives.  Prior to joining the Company in March 1998, he served as Vice President, Information Systems of Beacon Properties.  He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a recipient of the New York City Urban Fellowship. Mr. Whalen is a current trustee and past President of SIM Boston and serves on the Realcomm Advisory Council and Boston Private Industry Council. He chairs TechHire Boston which advocates for alternative tech talent pathways.
